“The National Front for the Liberation of Syria” announced its refusal to hand over the Naseeb crossing to
the Syrian regime, and broke into the crossing with a military force to assert its
standpoints and to affirm its attitude that refuses to open the crossing without applying the conditions of the opposition, according to a statement issued by the Front on Sunday.
Syrian army, allies seize more of Jordanian frontier.
The Syrian army and its allies seized control of nine positions at Syria’s border with Jordan, expanding their control at the southern frontier, a military news outlet run by the Lebanese group Hezbollah said on Saturday.
The captured border positions were located to the southeast of Damascus, the report said, adding that militants had been killed and wounded during the attack. It did not identify the insurgents, or say when the positions had been captured.
Iran: Afghan Children Recruited to Fight in Syria.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has recruited Afghan immigrant children living in Iran to fight in Syria,
Human Rights Watch said today. Afghan children as young as 14 have fought in the Fatemiyoun division, an exclusively Afghan armed group supported by Iran that fights alongside government forces in the Syrian conflict. Under international law, recruiting children under the age of 15 to participate actively in hostilities is a war crime.
Jordan: Syrian Refugees Being Summarily Deported.
Jordanian authorities have been summarily deporting Syrian refugees – including collective expulsions of large families,

Haet Tahrir Sham,HTS announced on Sunday the appointment of Abu Muhammad Al-Julani as its general leader succeeding Abu Jaber Sheikh.
HTS issued a statement saying: After the Shura Council of HTS with the presence of the General Shari’ah Council, the resignation of Abu Jaber Al-Sheikh from as the General Commander of the Authority was accepted as well as appointing Abu Mohammad Al-Julani as the head of HTS. Also Sheikh Abu Jaber was appointed as Chairman of the Shura Council of HTS.
Hezbollah says Israel pushing region to war.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government on Sunday of pushing the region to war in Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, and said nowhere in Israel would be safe if such a conflict were to erupt.
Ibn Taymiyyah Brigade Split From HTS.
The Shura Council of the Ibn Taymiyyah Brigade in the town of Daret Azzeh, west of Aleppo, decided on Sunday to split from Haet Tahrir Sham.
The brigades clarified in a statement to the reasons for the split that the leaks issued by the leaders of HTS in which there was satisfaction of shedding the blood of the Mujahideen and underestimating the scholars of the arena, in addition to the demand of battalions to hand over their weapons by ISIS, and arrest members of the Brigades like «Osama Shnaq».
Yasser Zureiqat: No Serious Will To Limit Assad.
The commander of the Military Council of Damascus and its countryside «Yasser Zureiqat» «Free Syrian army committed to the agreement completely, but the regime did not stop the bombing and try to break into the Ghouta», adding that «they document and inform the Russians about daily violations».
3,000 killed in Syria in deadliest month of 2017.
Syria’s war killed at least 3,000 people including 955 civilians in September, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said Sunday, in the deadliest month of the conflict this year.
“More than 70 percent of the civilians were killed in regime and Russian air strikes, or in air raids of the international coalition” fighting Daesh (ISIS), the Britain-based monitor’s head Rami Abdel Rahman said.
Russia kills 5233 civilians in Syria for two years.
A total of 5,233 civilians have been killed in Syria since Russia began airstrikes against opponents of the Syrian regime in 2015
, according to a Syrian NGO.
The fatalities included 1,417 children and 886 women, the London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) said in a statement on Sunday.
Syria fell into a civil war in 2011 after the regime of Bashar al-Assad put down pro-democracy protests with unexpected ferocity.
